Armohib 28 is a corrosion inhibitor comprised of a blend of Hydrochloric and Hydrofluoric acid mixtures and appears amber in colour.

The three major applications are:

• Acid Pickling

• Plant cleaning

• Oilwell acidizing

The advantages of Aromohib 28 are it provides dependable protection over a wide range of temperatures and delivers the desired cleaning effect while retarding acid attack on metals. Tests have shown the use of Armohib 28 does not have any noticeable influence on the structure of zinc or the thickness of the zinc layer.

Armohib 28 is used in the following:

• Pickling very high carbon and alloy steels and for wire pickling.

• To clean ferritic, martensitic and austenitic steels.

• To eliminate or reduce embrittlement during the pickling of mild steel wire.

• As an inhibitor in the pickling of steel and has no adverse effect on the quality of metal in subsequent hot dip galvanizing.
