Activol 1946 is also known as a HCl over pickling inhibitor, and can be added to acids to prevent corrosion.
Similar corrosion inhibitor products are Armohib and Leuzolit.

Application Field: Hydrochloric acid steel pickling (batch or continuous).

Performances: 

Efficiency: high restraining action to the acid attack on the base steel, even on very reactive steels and at high temperatures (95-100°C).

Descaling ability: no increase in descaling time, even with high doses.

Durability and stability: stable in pickle solution for extended time periods at high temperatures without losing its inhibiting action.

Quality of pickled surface: uniformly pickled surface and maximum cleanliness (high reduction of removable surface pollution) ensuring optimum adhesion of subsequent coating.

Chemical composition: synergic combination of surfactants and DATA inhibiting bases; aqueous system.
